First Major Snow Fall

These are our two border collies, Tip and Lacey. Lacey is the timid one in the back and Tip is the one with that huge grin in the front. Isn't he adorable. Both my furkids are rescues.
We got our first major snow fall today. Snowfall was predicted to start at 10 this morning. I watched from the office window as the morning progressed and was feeling quite robbed that the predicted snowstorm was not producing the quantity of snow the great snow forcasters had predicted. Finally about 2 this afternoon it finally started producing some significant flakes that started to stay on the ground. I should have been happy that the storm was holding off because I forgot to consider the fact I had to drive home in it. The trip from our house to my first job is roughly 35 minutes - it took me an hour and 20 minutes to get home. I called in a snowday for the second job due to the nasty road conditions.
It was nice to be home early tonight. While my hardworking man, Matt, was showering I was able to pull out the pork steaks for supper and get them marinated. I marinated them with a combination of Worsteshire Sauce and soy sauce - I just sprinkled them over the top - and then sprinkled Grill Master Steak Rub. I let them sit marinating in cookie sheet for approximately 45 minutes and flipped every 15 minutes. Matt grilled these lovely pork steaks to perfection outside on the grill. Sides were some yummy, comforting creamy mashed potatoes with au jus gravy and broccoli cooked in italian salad dressing. Fabulous meal for a snowy cold evening. Wish I had remembered to take a picture of it. The furkids got a couple bites after we finished our dinner and from the liplicking I will assume they thought the steaks were as tasty as we did.
